Essential Criteria:

• Expert in hand coding HTML/XHTML, CSS
• Strong knowledge of web standards and CSS-driven layouts
• Experience coding hybrid sites that allows CSS to work harmoniously with SWF files
• Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
• Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, Prototype
• Experience with other technologies, such as PHP, ASP.NET, Flash
• Ability to work on a team with Project Managers, Designers, and Developers
• Content Management System experience (Joomla! & Wordpress)

Candidate should have:

• Minimum of 2+ years experience in website interface development
• Portfolio of work and sample URLs
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as self directed
• Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of XHTML, CSS, Flash and accessibility issues
• Be comfortable working to tight deadlines
• A diploma in web/multimedia or demonstrated competence with front-end technologies

Familiarity with the following is desired:

• XML and XSLT
• AJAX
• Subversion Version control
